THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR ENTRY IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE OR YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.

DATES OF SWEEPSTAKES/ENTRY PERIODS:  The “Select Home Warranty $1,000 Monthly Q1 Giveaway” (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 6, 2023 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on March 31, 2023 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). The Sweepstakes Period is subject to two (2entry periods (each, an “Entry Period”).  For each Entry Period, one (prize winner (“Prize Winner”) will be selected at random as outlined in the “WINNING/NOTIFICATION” section herein (each, a “Drawing”). The two (2) Entry Periods and Drawing dates are:

There is a limit of one (1) entry per person for this Sweepstakes.  Non-winning eligible entries from previous Entry Periods will not carry over and will not be considered eligible for subsequent Drawings. You will only be eligible for the Drawing associated with the Entry Period for which you entered this Sweepstakes.  See “WINNING/NOTIFICATION” section for details.

ELIGIBILITY:  The Sweepstakes is open only to permanent legal residents of one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia  (excluding residents of Nevada, Washington and Wisconsin) who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry (each, an “Entrant”).  The Entrants who are selected as the Prize Winners must have a unique, personal and valid social security number for Sponsor to report the tax liability associated with acceptance of the respective Prize. Valid social security numbers will be determined by Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) requirements as further defined in the “PRIZE CLAIMS” section of these Official Rules.   Officers, directors, managers and employees of Sponsor, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and related companies, dealers, Distributors, advertising and Sweepstakes agencies, consultants and agents, as well the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such person, and any others engaged in the development, production, execution or distribution of this Sweepstakes, including National Sweepstakes Company, LLC (the “Independent Administrator”) are not eligible to participate.  Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Sweepstakes is void in Nevada, Washington, and Wisconsin, outside the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia and wherever else restricted or prohibited by law.   By entering this Sweepstakes, Entrants indicate their full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or Independent Administrator, which are final and binding in all respects. Winning a Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

HOW TO ENTER:  There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes as described below.  Regardless of the method used to enter, there is a limit of one (1) entry per Entrant during the Sweepstakes Period.  Non-winning eligible entries from previous Entry Periods will not carry over and will not be eligible for subsequent Entry Periods.

1. Home Warranty Purchase:   Purchase a home warranty via selectwarranty.com (the “Website’), by calling the Sponsor’s sales department direction (at 855-267-3532) or at one of Sponsor’s thirty (30) plus affiliate marketing websites, selling Select Home Warranty warranties. Upon completing the purchase, Entrant will receive one (1) entry into the Drawing associated with the Entry Period for which the purchase was made. 
2. Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE):  To enter the Sweepstakes without purchasing a home warranty, Entrants may enter or free, by mail as follows:   On a 3” x 5” card, legibly handprint or type your first name, last name, address, city, state, zip code, telephone number (including area code), date of birth and email address. Mail your completed 3” x 5” card in an envelope to: “Select Home Warranty Q1 $1,000 Monthly Giveaway”,  PO Box 427, Newark, NY 14513 . Mail entries must be postmarked and received as follows to be considered eligible. 

Entrants may submit a maximum of one (1) individual envelope to enter the Sweepstakes via the AMOE.  Entrants who enter via the AMOE during the Sweepstakes Period will earn one (1) entry into the Drawing associated with the Entry Period for which his/her envelope was postmarked and received.  Multiple entries submitted by a single Entrant in the same envelope or exceeding the entry limit above will not be considered eligible. Entries submitted or completed by anyone other than the Entrant are void. No mechanical reproductions will be accepted.  Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries for Entries.   All entries submitted by mail become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, or damaged mailed entries. 

In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the Authorized Account Holder (defined below) of the e-mail address connected with the email account from which the Purchase was sent (or the email address listed on the 3”x5” card within an AMOE envelope). “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by the Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. An Entrant may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that the Entrant is the Authorized Account Holder of the email address associated with the entry. Any attempt by any Entrant to enter this Sweepstakes using multiple/different accounts or any other methods may void the Entrant’s entries and may result in disqualification, at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Use of any automated system to participate in the Sweepstakes is prohibited and may result in disqualification. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any entry that is lost, late, misdirected or  undeliverable, whether due to system errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operation or transmissions or any other reason, theft or destruction or failures, faulty transmissions or other telecommunication malfunctions, entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, technical malfunctions, or otherwise. Late entries or entries sent via any other method than those stated above will not be accepted.

WINNING/NOTIFICATION : There will be two (2) Drawings held for this Sweepstakes on or about the dates listed in the “DATES OF SWEEPSTAKES/ENTRY PERIODS” section. For each Drawing, one (1) Prize Winner will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received within the Entry Period. Non-winning eligible entries from previous Entry Periods will not be eligible for subsequent Drawings. Odds of winning a Prize in any of the Drawings is dependent on the total number of eligible entries received during the respective Entry Period. Limit of one (1) Prize per person / household for the entire Sweepstakes. 

Prize Winners will be notified by the Independent Administrator via email within approximately three (3) business days from the date in which the Prize Winner was selected. Each Prize Winner must complete and return “Required Documents’ as outlined in the “PRIZE CLAIMS” section below.  

Each of the drawings will be conducted by the Independent Administrator whose decisions are based upon their sole discretion and interpretation of these Official Rules and are final and binding in all respects. 

PRIZE CLAIMS:    Except where prohibited, all Prize Winners receiving a Prize in excess of $600 will be required to complete, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (the “Release”) and an IRS Form W-9 (“W-9 Form”) and any other documents required by Sponsor, (collectively, the “Required Documents”) within seven (7) days or less from receipt of Notification from the Independent Administrator by email. If the potential Prize Winner fails to return the Required Documents within the time period required, or if the email is returned as undeliverable, such potential Prize Winner forfeits his/her right to the Prize and an alternate will be notified as outlined in the “WINNING/NOTIFICATION” section above, even if the disqualified potential Prize Winner’s name may have been publicly announced.  Potential Prize Winner must report income to the IRS.  In the event it is deemed during the verification process that the potential Prize Winner does not have a unique, personal and valid social security number for Sponsor to report the tax liability associated with acceptance of the Prize, such potential Prize Winner will be disqualified, and an alternate will be notified as outlined above.  Valid social security numbers will be determined by IRS requirements. If it is determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, that a potential Prize Winner is not eligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules, the potential Prize Winner forfeits his/her right to the Prize and an alternate will be notified as outlined in the “WINNING/NOTIFICATION” section above, even if the disqualified potential Prize Winner’s name may have been publicly announced.   In the event that a potential Prize Winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor/Independent Administrator shall have no liability or obligation to such individual. Sponsor will make three (3) attempts to determine prize winners for this Sweepstakes via alternate winner selection (if applicable) after which, any unclaimed prizes will go unawarded.

PRIZES:   Each Prize Winner will receive one (1) $1,000 amazon.com e-gift card (“Prize”). The total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize is $1,000. 

N ames of prize manufacturers are used solely for the purposes of identification of the prize.  No sponsorship, authorization or endorsement is intended or implied by such use.

Prizes are subject to the terms and conditions found on the gift card. No substitution of Prizes is permitted except at Sponsor's discretion. Prizes are not transferable and may not be resold.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.   No more than the Prizes set forth in these Official Rules will be awarded. Prize Winners are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Any taxes imposed on the income of a Prize Winner as a result of winning a Prize and all other expenses not specifically mentioned herein as part of the Prize are solely the responsibility of the Prize Winner. No transfer or substitution of Prizes is allowed except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for and will not replace any lost, stolen or misplaced Prize. Any depictions of the Prizes in advertising are for illustrative purposes only and may not represent the actual Prize awarded. No more than the number of Prizes set forth in these Official Rules will be awarded.  

Each Prize Winner consents (and agrees to sign any additional documents required by Sponsor, to formalize, effect or perfect such consent, except where prohibited by law) for Sponsor and those acting under their authority, to use his/her name, likeness (photograph and/or video), biographical information, and voice in advertising/publicity/trade without territorial or time limitations and without compensation, notice or approval; and, each Prize Winner disclaims any ownership rights of such advertising/publicity/trade material. Sponsor and Independent Administrator are not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address and/or telephone number of Entrants.  

GENERAL CONDITIONS:   Should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor’s   sole discretion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor, corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and conduct the Sweepstakes in a manner which in its sole discretion is fair, appropriate and consistent with these Official Rules. Notice of such action by Sponsor will be posted at the Website.  In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to award the Prizes at random from among the non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment.  Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify or reject any incomplete, inaccurate or false entry.  ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SPONSOR'S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THESE PROVISIONS.

RELEASE : By participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and each of its respective officers, directors, managers, employees, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, members, shareholders, insurers, servants, divisions, Distributors, predecessors, successors, representatives, dealers, distributors, advertising, Sweepstakes, and fulfillment agencies, including the Independent Administrator, consultants and legal advisors (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes  or receipt, redemption or use of a Prize, including any travel related thereto, if applicable.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:   The Released Parties are not responsible for (a); unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (b) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (c)   any injury or damage to persons or property, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes;  (d) any printing or typographical errors or other incorrect or inaccurate entry information in any Sweepstakes-related materials; (e) stolen, lost, late, misdirected, corrupted, incomplete, or indecipherable entries; or (f) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, mobile device, cable, network, hardware or software.

ENTRANTS PERSONAL INFORMATION:  Information collected from Entrants is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policies, located a t  https://www.selecthomewarranty.com/privacy/ . If you are selected as a Prize Winner, your first name, last initial, city, and state will also be included in a publicly-available winner’s list and (if desired by Sponsor), on social media channels, the Website and via email to subscribers.

WINNER’S LIST / OFFICIAL RULES REQUEST : For the name of the Prize Winners or a copy of these Official Rules, please submit a self-addressed, stamped envelope for receipt by April 30, 2023 to “Select Home Warranty Q1 $1,000 Monthly Giveaway” (please specify Winners List or Official Rules Request), PO Box 10505, Rochester, NY 14610. A copy of these Official Rules may also be obtained at the Website during the Sweepstakes Period.

This Sweepstakes shall not be published without the written permission of the Sponsor.
